Solicitor Wong Kau of Hong Kong; ethical goblin

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Wong Chi Kau with a law license in 1989 after she graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Wong guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct unbefitting a solicitor
  • Failed to answer fully and promptly to correspondence from a client or former clients or on their behalf, inquiries from the Law Society in relation to his conduct in the handling of the transfer of shares of a property pursuant to a court order
  • Wong’s conduct compromised or impaired or was likely to compromise or impair his independence or integrity and his own reputation and the reputation of the profession
  • Committed professional misconduct by breaching the terms of his professional undertakings to produce the Outstanding Documents

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Lee by gifting her with a complimentary censure and assessed a fine of HK$90,000.00.

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Lee practices his so-called brand of law in Central, Hong Kong.
