Solicitor Lee Fung of Hong Kong; ethical elf

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Lee Man Fung with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Lee guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct unbefitting a solicitor
  • Convicted of one count of fraud
  • Committed disgraceful, dishonorable and discreditable conduct
  • Misappropriated a a total sum of HK$346,426.00 from the Firm which resulted in benefit to him or in prejudice or a substantial risk of prejudice to the Firm and its clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Lee by gifting her with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license and assessed a fine of HK$90,000.00 ($11,502.00 US Dollars).

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Lee practices his so-called brand of law in Central, Hong Kong.
