Attorney Sylvia Adams of Bowie, MD; tax scofflaw

The state of Maryland presented Sylvia Lorraine Adams with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from Case Western University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Sylvia guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on her honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as an attorney
• in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice.
• Failed to file federal or state income tax returns for three years
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Sylvia)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Sylvia by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.  

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Sylvia practices her so-called brand of law at 2407 Kegwood Lane in Bowie, Maryland.
