Attorney Teresa Villarreal of Columbus, OH; slacker, loser

The state of Ohio presented Teresa Ann Villarreal with a law license in 1989 after she graduated from Ohio State University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Terry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to take reasonable steps to assure that an underling’s conduct was compatible with the Rules of Professional Conduct
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to comply with client information requests

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Ohio Supreme Court punished Terry by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
