Rep. Andrew Clyde: Today’s “Trump Ass-Kisser” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Andy. In the past he has been the recipient of two (2) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by visiting the listed categories.

In an ongoing attempt to cement his status as a Disgusting Sycophantic Trump Ass-Kisser and Buffoon, Andy recently (ca. September 2023) introduced the following asinine legislation proposing two amendments to an appropriations bill that would defund the various prosecutions of former President Trump.

One of Andy’s laughable amendments would pertain to federal prosecutions and the other addresses federal funding for state prosecutions.

Andy proudly announced that he is taking aim at special counsel Jack Smith who is prosecuting his beau Trump for his conduct relating to the January 6, 2021 attempt to overthrow the government in order to keep Trump in power even though he lost to Biden by over 7 million votes.

In support of his unconstitutional and asinine amendments, Andy spewed forth the following BS.

• “Due to my serious concerns about these witch hunt indictments against President Trump, I intend to offer two amendments to prohibit any federal funds from being used in federal or state courts to prosecute major presidential candidates prior to the 2024 election.”
• “The American people get to decide who wins the White House — not Deep State actors who have shamelessly attacked Donald Trump since he announced his first bid in 2015.”
• “It is imperative that Congress use its power of the purse to protect the integrity of our elections, restore Americans’ faith in our government, and dismantle our nation’s two-tiered system of justice.”
• “I’m fully committed to helping lead this effort, and I call on my House Appropriations colleagues to join me in this righteous fight.”

Given Andy’s willingness to use the power of the purse to keep federal prosecutors from going after Trump, it shouldn’t be long before he introduces legislation to protect Democratic Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey from the same reckless conduct of federal prosecutors in going after Bobby and his wife Nadine.
