Former Judge David McAndrews of Hempstead, NY; ethical goblin

The state of New York provided David William McAndrews with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from St. Johns University School of Law.

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Nassau County District Court Judge.

• Failed to file his 2010 financial disclosure statement with the Ethics Commission for the Unified Court System
• Did not file 2010 financial statement until nearly one year after he was mandated to so act
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Davey!)
• Davey’s misconduct was seriously exacerbated by his failure to cooperate with the Commission's inquiry into his dilatory filing
• Over a period of several months, Davey delayed and impeded the Commission's efforts to obtain a full record of the relevant facts and thereby obstructed the Commission's discharge of its lawful mandate

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2023 Davey practices his so-called brand of law at 99 Main Street in Hempstead, New York.
