Attorney Patrick McGraw of Roanoke, VA; slacker, liar

The state of Virginia presented Patrick Michael McGraw with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Drake University School of Law. Patty also obtained a license to practice in Iowa in 2000.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Patty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Knowingly and falsely stated to his client that he was waiting for the court to act on a petition that he had never filed

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Patty’s self-serving website at www.mcgrawlawpc.netmakes no mention of his misconduct as aforementioned. Apparently, Patty decided to conceal this information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2023), Patty practices his so-called brand of law with McGraw Law PC at 2727 Electric Road in Roanoke, Virginia.
