Attorney Rafael Tirado of Phoenix, AZ; ethical misfit

The state of Arizona presented Rafael Tirado with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law. Rafael also obtained a license to practice in Mexico in 2000.

The Arizona State Bar found Rafael guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• United StatesCourt of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reprimanded Mr. Tirado and placed him on probation for 12 months
• Rafael was ordered to show cause why he should not be sanctioned for repeated violations of the court’s rules and orders
• Repeatedly violated the rules of professional conduct and for conduct unbecoming a member of the court’s bar in many cases in which he had appeared before the court
• The order to show cause was prompted by Tirado’s handling of a petition for review filed with the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $1,200.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Rafael fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.tiradolaw.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
