Attorney Crystal Henderson of Houston, TX; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Crystal Danielle Henderson with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Texas Southern University School of Law.

The 190th District Court of Harris County found Crystal guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Neglected client’s case
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failedto explain the matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to promptly deliver to the client funds or property that he was entitled to receive
• Failed to promptly render a full accounting regarding client property
• Failed to protect the client’s interest upon termination
• Made a false statement of material fact or law to a tribunal and in the course of representing the client
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact or law to a third person
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Crystal by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license and assessed $2,500.00 in investigative costs. Crystal was also ordered to pay $5,500.00 in restitution to of his prior clients (aka, victims).

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Crystal by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 2-month suspension of her law license. She was also ordered to pay $2,746.88 in investigative costs.
