Attorney Wardell Huff of Leesburg, VA; cheating loser

 

The state of New Jersey presented Wardell Huff with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

 

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Wardell guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to inform a prospective client of how, when, and where the client may communicate with the attorney
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions
  • Charged an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Failed to set forth, in writing, the basis or rate of the attorney’s fee
  • Made an agreement prospectively limiting the attorney’s liability to a client for malpractice
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed failing to comply with the recordkeeping requirements
  • Failed to supervise nonlawyer staff
  • Failed to identify the attorney’s name in advertisements and communications with clients
  • Assisted another in the illegal practice of law
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Permitted a person who recommends, employs, or pays the attorney to render legal services for another to direct or regulate the attorney’s professional judgment in rendering legal services
  • Made a false or misleading communication about the lawyer or the lawyer’s services
  • Wardell’s conduct adversely reflected upon him as an attorney but also on members of the bar
  • Misconduct occurred over an extended period and involved a substantial number of clients
  • Failed to promptly correct the bank account and advertisement issues
  • Failed to keep client reasonably informed regarding the status of the bankruptcy matter
  • Failed to copy his client on correspondence written or received by you during the course of the representation
  • Failed to return numerous calls made by the client to his office
  • Failed to copy his client on correspondence written or received by him during the course of the client representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Wardell by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Wardell practices her so-called brand of law with The Law Offices of Wardell Huff PLLC in Leesburg, Virginia.
