1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2006

The Bar Court found Nicholas guilty of the following misconduct:

Nicholas pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in 2005. He was also convicted of driving under the influence in 2002

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Nicholas by gifting him with a stayed one-year suspension of his law license, meaning he really didn’t receive any punishment.

2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 1997

The Bar Court found Nicholas guilty of the following misconduct:

In December 1994, Nicholas pleaded guilty to securities fraud conspiracy in federal court after he was initially charged in a money laundering scheme involving a Nevada corporation. He was sentenced to two years probation, fined $5,000 and ordered to disclose his conviction during his probation period when engaged in any consulting in the area of securities.

What is laughable about Nick’s securities fraud conviction is the fact that he served as counsel for the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) from 1979-94, planning and checking numerous investigations of possible securities law violations and reviewed hundreds of disclosure statements. Kinda gives a new meaning to “the fox guarding the chicken coop.”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Nicholas by gifting him with a nine-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Nelson continues to practice in the Cardiff, California area. .
