Attorney John Watson III of Huntsville, AL; ethical misfit

The state of Alabama presented John Andrew Watson, IIIwith a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to properly communicate with his clients
• Johnny began representing multiple business entities comprising a multinational enterprise engaged in government contracting to the US Government in support of its Middle East operations
• Johnny did not communicate with all the corporate representatives of the client entities on an equal basis as required pursuant to the Alabama Rules of Professional Conduct
• Johnny failed to fully explain the benefits, limitations, and risks of the joint representation as required by Rules of Professional Conduct
• Johnny failed to obtain the clients’ written acknowledgement of the limited scope representation as required by the Alabama Rules of Professional Conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Johnny and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.maynardnexen.com.  Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that they would not limit their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law with MAYNARDNEXSEN at 1901 Sixth Avenue North in Huntsville, Alabama.
