Attorney Sybil Barrett of Atlanta, GA; ethical elf

The state of Massachusetts presented Sybil Helena Barrett with a law license in 2001 after she graduated from Suffolk University School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Conrad’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.t

The Board of Bar Overseers found Sybil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Inadvertently had not paid the tax bills at or near the time of the real estate closings
• There was a substantial delay before she either provided the buyer the funds the seller had provided at closing to pay the tax bill, or paid the bill herself
• Engaged in the negligent use of client funds

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Sybil by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.  

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Sybil practices his so-called brand of law in Atlanta, Georgia.
