Former Judge Henry E. Frye Jr. of Pleasant Garden, NC; slacker, loser

The State of North Carolina provided Henry E. Frye Jr. with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The North Carolina Judicial Standards Commission found Hank guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place was a judge of the General Court of Justice, Superior Court Division, Judicial District Eighteen in Guilford County.

  • Failed to provide written judgment in completed trial matter despite repeated inquiries by counsel and court personal
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Hank’s delay in providing written judgment involved serious misconduct
  • Hank deprived litigants of the opportunity to have their claims decided in a trimly matter
  • Conduce caused adverse consequences to be endured by individual litigants
  • Failed to act at all times to promote public confidence in the judiciary

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the North Carolina Supreme Court punished Hank by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2023), Hank practices his so-called brand of law at 5404 Brekenwood Road in pleasant Garden, North Carolina.
