Attorney Maurice Isaac of Hyattsville, MD; ethical gremlin

The state of Maryland presented Maurice Isaac with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from University Benin Nigeria School of Law. Maurice also received a license to practice in New York in 2001.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Maurice guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Knowingly failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Maurice!)
• Failed to safekeep client funds in an attorney trust account
• Failed to comply with attorney trust account record-keeping requirements
• Received funds from an organization that were not associated with any client or third-party matter
• And constituted the Maurice’s personal funds
• Improperly deposited organizational funds into his attorney trust account
• Failed to create or maintain a record identifying the nature of the organizational deposited funds and therefore showing any disbursements

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Maurice by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Maurice practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of Maurice Isaac at 6495 New Hampshire Avenue in Hyattsville, Maryland
