Attorney Jewel Harmon of Kensington, MD; moronic slacker

The state of Maryland presented Jewel M. Harmon with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Jewel guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to take steps to protect her clients’ interests upon termination of the representation,
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in misconduct in three separate probate matters while serving as guardian for two minor children, and while serving as general conservator and co-guardian of an incapacitated ward
  • Engaged in misconduct while serving as successor trustee in a contentious estate matter.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 60-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.

As we speak (ca. May 2023), Jimmy practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Jewel Harmon at 10325 Kensington Parkway in Kensington, Maryland.
