Attorney Eric Haversack of Annapolis, MD; ethical troll

The state of Maryland presented Eric Hans Haversack with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Eric guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to safekeep funds in an attorney trust account
• Failed to promptly deliver funds that a third party was entitled to receive
• Failed to make required deposits in an attorney trust account
• Failed to comply with attorney trust account record-keeping requirements
• Failed to promptly notify prior counsel that he was in possession of funds in which prior counsel asserted an interest, which the Respondent and the client disputed
• Failed to maintain a chronological record of all trust account deposits and disbursements
• Deposited settlement checks received on behalf of two clients into his operating account rather than an attorney trust account
• Failed to create and maintain individual client matter records

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Eric fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website www.haversacklaw.com.  Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to ensure he wouldn’t limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2023), Eric practices his so-called brand of law with Haversack Law LLC at 428 Fourth Street in Annapolis, Maryland.
