Attorney James Hammerschmidt of Bethesda, MD; ethical dwarf  

The state of Maryland presented James Robert Hammerschmidt with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from St. Louis University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to adequately communicate with his client
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to provide any memorandum or documentation to the client, the opposing party, or the mediator, and the opposing and he had promised to do

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Jimmy and his firm fail to disclose the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website www.paleyrothman.com.  Apparently, they chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to ensure they wouldn’t limit their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2023), Jimmy practices his so-called brand of law with Paley Rothman at 4800 Hampden Lane in Bethesda, Maryland.
