The state of Virginia presented Stephen A. Strickler with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Benny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Charged and/or collected an excessive fee
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Engaged in the illegal practice of law in a jurisdiction he was not licensed in

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2023), Benny practices his so-called brand of law at 10440 Balls Ford Road in Manassas, Virginia.
