Attorney Ahping Lee of British Columbia, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of British Columbia presentedAhping Adena Lee with a law license in 1981 after she graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of British Columbia found Ahping guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Misled the court about proper service of her clients’ court application
• Failed to notify the Law Society of an income tax charge and an unsatisfied monetary judgment
• On February 24, 2015, the Canada Revenue Agency served Ahping with eight notices requiring her to file personal income tax returns for the years 2004 and 2007 to 2013 within 90 days
• Ahping filed her tax returns for 2007 to 2013, but she did not file her 2004 tax return
• Ahping was charged with committing an offence of the Income Tax Act, by unlawfully failing to comply with the notice of requirement personally served on her on February 24, 2015, that required her to file a completed income tax return for the 2004 taxation year within 90 days, as required by the Income Tax Act
• Pled guilty to tax offense and was fined $1,000.00

As a direct result of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Ahping by gifting her with a complimentary censure, a $2,000.00 fine and assessed disciplinary costs of $2,500.00.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Ahping practices her so-called brand of law with the Faley Law Corporation at 3779 Sexsmith Road in Richmond, British Columbia.
