Former Judge David Coursen of Lake Placid, NY; ethical troll

The state of New York presented William Leonard  DeProspo with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Western New England University School of Law.

The State of New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was a Justice of the Lake Placid Village Court in Essex County.

• Acted biased in favor of the defendant in a code enforcement case
• Engaged in ex parte (one-sided) communications with code enforcement defendant
• Berated code enforcement officer in court

As one would suspect, rather than wait for a decisions that may have led to him being tossed off the bench, Davey did what any cowardly Judicial Misfit would do, he resigned  effective January 24, 2023.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), it is rumored that Davey has an application pending for a job as a barthroom attendant at the Family Dollar Store at 50 Fawn Ridge Road in Lake Placid, New York.
