Attorney Stavros Panagoulopoulos of Gretna, LA; ethical troll

The state of Louisiana presented Stavros Panagoulopoulos with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from Tulane University School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Stavros’ First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Stavros guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in a pattern of neglectful behavior that caused harm to his clients and the disciplinary system
  • Caused actual harm to his client due to his misconduct
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to submit an order with the notice of appeal on client’s behalf
  • Negligence caused client appeal to sit in procedural limbo for almost a year
  • Stavros’ conduct caused potential harm to the public by his DWI arrest
  • Caused potential harm to his clients, the legal system, and the profession by failing to properly maintain his
  • trust account
  • Initially failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Stavros!)
  • Conduct was negligent and knowing, and caused potential harm in some instances and actual harm in others

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Stavros by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 12-month suspension of his law license.

And lastly,as one would suspect, Stavros makes no mention of his misconduct as set forth above on his self-serving website at www.reganlaw.net. Apparently, he decided to conceal this information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Stavros practices his so-called brand of law at 401 Whitney Avenue in Gretna, Louisiana.
