Attorney Thomas K. Mallon of Towson, MD; cheating slacker

The state of Maryland presented Thomas K. Mallon with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Tommy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to abide by the scope of the representation
• Failed to provide competent representation
• Failed to adequately communicate with his clients
• Filed a frivolous (BS) pleading
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Failed to maintain fairness to an opposing party and counsel
• Failed to timely file a countercomplaint on client’s behalf
• Failed to file a financial statement
• Collected unreasonable fees (cheater)
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to ensure that his client’s discovery responses were timely provided to opposing counsel
• Failed to review certain discovery responses with his client and signed the document on his client’s behalf without her authority
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Discovery responses included multiple false assertions
• Double billed against his client’s retainer fee for the same service
• Failed to provide the client with a final invoice or remove the double-billed amount from the balance

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Tommy fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mallon-jurisprudence.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Tommy practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Thomas K. Mallon LLC at 1107 Kenilworth Drive in Towson, Maryland.
