Judge William DeProspo of Goshen, NY; ethical goblin

The state of New York presented William Leonard  DeProspo with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Western New England University School of Law.

The State of New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was an Orange County Court judge.

In acting disrespectfully, saracstic and discourteous to unrepresented parties seeking temporary order of protection, Billy made the following comments to invidvidual parties appearing before him.

• "What kind of a kook ure you?"
• “Everything you told me was bullshit.”
• “Get your ass out of bed and get here at 9:00 in the morning.”
• “So, three weeks before you found out that he had another honey on the side, were you afraid of him? ... Oh, you were'! Well, then what were you with him for then?"

As one would suspect, rather than wait for a decisions that may have led to him being tossed off the bench, Billy did what any cowardly Judicial Misfit would do, he resigned  effective March 31, 2023.

As we speak (ca. February 2023), Billy practices his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Orange County Family Court judge in Goshen, New York.
