Attorney Eve Reardon of New Orleans, LA; ethical troll

The state of Louisiana presented Eve Sarco Reardon with a law license in 2006 after she graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Law.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Eve guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly notarized three affidavits
• Signed her name to documents finalizing a client’s settlement after the client passed away
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Made a false statement of fact or law to a tribunal
• Failed to correct a false statement of material fact or law previously made to a tribunal
• Offered evidence that he knows to be false
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Eve by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Eve.

And lastly, because Attorney Misfits in Louisiana are held to a much lower standard of conduct, Eve was never prosecuted for fraud or forgery.
