Attorney David Charron of Grand Rapids, MI; ethical troll

The state of Michigan presented David W. Charron with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

The Kent County Hearing Panel #4 found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Found guilty of contempt of court regarding transfer of various assets of an insurance business
  • Failed to act with candor when dealing with opposing counsel
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to act with candor in his dealings with trial court
  • In his appellate brief, Davey referred to the judiciary acting as “the bitch for the opposing party”
  • Davey made misleading and hence false statements by omission of material facts
  • Davey omitted material facts with the intent that the court and opposing counsel would misinterpret his technically truthful statements and interpretation of the facts
  • Took advantage of the words in court order to effectuate a plan outside it that defeated the purpose of it
  • Failed to disclose all material facts associated with an asset sale to the court
  • Engaged in undignified or discourteous conduct toward a tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the proper administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Michigan Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $1,349.60.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Davey fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.charronlawoffice.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Davey practices his so-called brand of law with Charron Law at 5020 East Beltline Avenue NE in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
