Attorney Carmen-Nedda Malhotra of New York City; ethical troll

The state of New York presented Carmen-Nedda Santiago with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from Yeshiva University School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Carmen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Misused her client escrow account
• Submitted a false statement
• Falsified bank records
• Gave false testimony at her deposition [perjury]
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Carmen!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards punished Carmen by gifting her with a complimentary 2-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Carmen practices her so-called brand of law at 54 East 11^th Street in New York, New York.
