Attorney Sanford Solny of Brooklyn, NY; scamming loser

The state of New York presented Joseph I. Rosenzweig with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the New York School of Law. Sanford also received a license to practice in New Jersey in 1983.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Sanford guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Intentionally misled attorney Lee Snow as to the reason he needed to obtain the POA from Snow shortly before Sanford’s uncle Henry Isaacson's death
• Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer
• Sanford issued the POA to transfer approximately $600,000 of his uncle’s money to himself during the weeks before his death
• New Jersey court charged Sanford for hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees and costs above and beyond his original obligation to pay the $382,504.02 into court
• As a result of his escalation of Sanford’s liability, more than $1 million being held for his account by Merrill Lynch has been seized

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards New Jersey Supreme Court punished Sanford by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license and ordered to pay $26,800.00 involving investigative costs.
