Attorney Omar Shaaban of Toledo, OH; slacker, liar

The state of Ohio presented Omar Fahmi Shaaban with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from the Lebanese University Faculty of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Omar guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly shared fees with non-lawyer
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to reasonably consult with the client about how the client’s objections are to be accomplished
• Failed to keep client informed of status matter
• Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal (Up yours, said Omar!)
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the
• representation
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Engaged in illegal practice of law in a jurisdiction he was not licensed to practice
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Failed to promptly inform the client of any decision or circumstance with respect to which the client’s informed consent is required
• Pursued and/or defended a positing that was frivolous
• Knowingly made a false statement of fact or law to a tribunal
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Omar!)

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Omar by the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oho Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Omar practices his so-called brand of law at 1709 Spielbusch Avenue in Toledo, Ohio.
