Attorney Chris Konnor of Milwaukee; ethical leper-con The state of Wisconsin presented Chris K. Konnor with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Oral Roberts University Law School.
The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Chris guilty of the following misconduct involving his representation of a client in an estate matter.
It was Chris’s brother who stole the estates checkbook. He then issued checks from the account to himself. When Chris discovered his brother’s thefts, he did not report the crime to the police or the heirs.
Subsequently, Konnor’s father made good on the stolen funds by repaying the amount his son had stolen. However, Chris entered misleading (false/fabricated) notations on the checks as to their purpose in an ongoing effort to conceal his brother’s thefts from the heirs. It was only after the OLR investigation began that Chris disclosed the theft of the estate funds by his brother.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. April 2012) Chris continues to practice law in the Milwaukee area.
