Judge Grace Uzomba of San Antonio, TX; ignoramus, scofflaw

The state of Texas presented Grace M. Uzomba with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from St Mary’s University School of Law.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Grace guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was a Travis County Judge in Austin.

  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to be faithful to the law
  • Conduct cast public discredit upon the judiciary
  • Failed to maintain professional competence in the law (ignoramus)
  • Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers, and others with whom she dealt with in her official capacity
  • Engaged in willful and/or persistent misconduct
  • Engaged in conduct that was clearly inconsistent with the proper performance of her judicial duties

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Grace by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Grace continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a County Court at Law No. 2 Judge in San Antonio, Texas.
