Attorney Christopher Hyde of Chester, NJ; serial offender

The state of New Jersey presented Christopher West Hyde with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Chris!)
  • Failed to set forth in writing the basis or rate of his fee

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Chris’ First bite at the Attorney Misfit Tree. He previously received one complimentary suspension, one complimentary reprimand, and one complimentary admonishment.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Chris practices his so-called brand of law in Chester, New Jersey.
