Attorney Theodore Beauparlant of Gloucester, MA; ethical misfit

The state of Massachusetts presented Theodore Wilfred Beauparlant with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Boston College School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Teddy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain an IOLTA check register with a running balance after each transaction
• Failed to maintain individual client ledgers or a bank fees and charges ledger for personal funds held in the IOLTA account for anticipated bank fees
• Failed to perform a three-way reconciliation at least every sixty days and prepare and maintain reconciliation reports
• Failed to maintain individual client ledgers

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Teddy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Teddy practices his so-called brand of law with the Beauparlant Law Offices at 35 Main Street in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
