Attorney Adele Brockmeyer of Towson, MD; ethical elf

The state of Maryland presented Adele Louise Brockmeyer with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from Case Western University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Adele guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Prior to a hearing in a custody matter, Adele failed to thoroughly review exhibits and incorrectly assumed certain information was related to certain nonprivileged therapy sessions
  • As result of Adele’s failure to review exhibits prior to custody hearing, her paralegal filed exhibits with the court
  • containing notes from privileged sessions in advance of the hearing
  • Improperly referenced client’s privileged therapy notes as an exhibit during a hearing on the custody matter

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Adele by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Adele fails to mention the above misconduct on her self-serving website at www.johnturnbullaw.com. Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Anne practices her so-called brand of law with the Turnbull Brockmeyer Law Group at 401 Allegheny Avenue in Towson, Maryland.
