Attorney Alexander R. Gonzalez of Alto, NM; ethically deprived

The state of Texas presented Alexander R. Gonzalez with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School

While sitting as a District Court Judge, the Judicial Commission found Judge Gonzalez guilty of the following misconduct.

In a show of pure favoritism, Judge Gonzalez had the chutzpah to appoint his long-time friend and former

bailiff as the foreman of a grand jury. Obviously, the former bailiff was just as unethical as Alex.

In another matter, Gonzalez appointed a second grand jury with discharging the first grand jury, which is unlawful under Texas law.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2012), Alex has taken a respite from practicing law in Texas and has moved his traveling Dufus show to Alto, New Mexico.
