Attorney Gregg Schaaf of Cumberland, MD; slacker, loser

The state of Maryland presented Gregg Gerard Schaaf with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Gregg guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to adequately communicate with client
  • Failed to comply with attorney trust account record-keeping requirements
  • Failed to promptly remove earned fees from his attorney trust account
  • For approximately three years after judgment was entered in the client’s divorce matter, Gregg failed to obtain the information necessary to prepare and file the required Qualified Domestic Relations Order
  • Failed to promptly withdraw earned fees from his attorney trust account
  • Failed to perform monthly reconciliations of attorney trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Gregg by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Gregg practices his so-called brand of law at 7 Washington Street in Cumberland, Maryland.
