Attorney Christopher Macchi of Swedesboro, NJ; scamming loser

The state of New Jersey presented Christopher Joseph Macchi with a law license in 2015 after he graduated from the University of Nevada (UNLV) School of Law. Chris also received a license to practice in Pennsylvania in 2015.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Continued to claim that clients that were employed by his prior firm were in fact his personal clients after he left said firm
• Despite directions from his prior firms partner that clients he represented while with the firm were to remain with the firm upon his termination, Chris prepared Substitution of Attorney forms (SOA) concerning 26 clients naming himself as the new attorney
• Failed to discuss with Gold or Agrawal how to properly facilitate the transfer of clients
• Failed to consult with his clients about their wishes

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Chris fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.macchilawgroup.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Chris practices his so-called brand of law at 1950 Kings Highway in Swedesboro, New Jersey.
