Attorney Catherine Christensen of Alberta, CAN; slacker, loser

The Law Society of Alberta presentedCatherine M. Christensen with a law license in 2015after she graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Alberta found Cathy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Cathy improperly withdrew from representing a client
• Failed to provide conscientious legal services to her client
• In marketing her family law practice, Cathy included language that implied she only represented males and included language that was inappropriate and not consistent with a high standard of professionalism
• Failed to respond to opposing counsel communications
• Failed to file a Notice of Withdrawal in action involving her client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Veronica by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand, a $1,750.00 fine and assessed investigative costs of $3,000.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Cathy fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.valourlaw.com. Apparently, she decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Cathy practices her so-called brand of law with Valour Law at 1 Tache Street in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.
