Former Judge Matthew Jeffries of Fayetteville, WV; scofflaw, loser

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Fayette County Magistrate Court judge.

• Wore a law enforcement uniform in campaign advertisements and social media posts
• Appeared appearing in photographs with campaign signs advocating the election of other candidates
• While wearing law enforcement uniform, Matty had his picture taken sitting in front of campaign signs for two candidates for non-judicial office while talking to another individual
• Failed to comply with the mandates of the Code of Judicial Conduct (Up yours, said Matty!)
• Matty gave the appearance, however wrong it may be, that he would not be neutral and detached but would be biased in favor of law enforcement
• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), it is rumored that Matty has an application pending for a job as a janitor at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 204 Town Center Road in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
