Judge Nancy Saitta of Las Vegas, NV; slacker, loser
The state of Nevada presented Nancy Saitta with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
The Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline found Nancy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to issue a written divorce decree for over 3 years after presiding over the trial
-
Failed to resolve and issue orders on other post-trial matters
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to request proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law and the divorce decree from counsel
-
For over 3 years, Nancy did not timely respond to proposed orders/decrees submitted by counsel, despite counsel’s repeated requests
-
Nancy repeatedly told counsel during multiple status hearings over several years that the orders/decree were in final editing, but, in fact, signed defendant’s proposed decree without editing it
-
Nancy was not completely aware of the status of the case and pending submissions,
-
Nancy had no idea whether certain orders were signed, or matters resolved, even after representing to counsel numerous times that she would ask about the status of the orders/matters
-
Failed to comply with a supreme court rule that requires district courts to resolve issues affecting child custody and visitation within 6 months of filing a responsive order
-
Failed to enter detailed minute orders
As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Nancy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
In truth, the comedians sitting on the Judicial Commission didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Linda.
As we speak (ca. October 2022), Nancy dispenses her so-called brand of jurisprudence as an 8th Judicial District Court judge in Las Vegas, Nevada.
