Judge Mohammed Ghouse of Chicago; convicted drunk

The State of Illinois provided Mohammed M. Ghouse with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from DePaul University School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Bruce Rauner was duped into appointing Mo as a Cook County Circuit Court judge in 2016. Mo didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Chicago area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board found Mo guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Mo struck the rear end of a parked vehicle which resulted in damage to both vehicles
  • Officer who responded to the scene of the accident, smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Mo’s mouth when he questioned him
  • The Officer also observed Mos eyes were glassy and bloodshot, and he was swaying back and forth
  • Mo refused to take field sobriety tests at the scene

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Inquiry Board punished Mo by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Mo continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence (while sober only) as a Cook County Circuit Court judge in Chicago, Illinois.
