Former Judge Tony Brazier of Livingston, TX; ethical troll

The Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Tony guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as the Polk County Probate Court judge.

  • Failed to properly supervise employees subject to his direction and control
  • Failed supervise proper management of court funds
  • Improperly employed unqualified individuals to assist with court-related tasks
  • Improperly utilized notary services
  • Improperly issued marriage license to individuals
  • Failed to regularly attend to his judicial duties as Chief Probate Judge of Polk County

As one would suspect, rather than await a decision from the Texas Supreme Court that likely would have led to him being tossed from the bench, Tony did what any coward would do, he resigned.

As we speak (ca. September 2022), it is rumored that Tony has an application pending for a job as a janitor with the Sam’s Club Store at 407 North Brentwood in Lufkin, Texas
