Attorney John Restall Jr. of Manitoba, CAN; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of Manitoba presentedJohn Hunter Restall Jr. with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Manitoba found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in egregious conflicts of interest
• Misconduct involved egregious breach of integrity
• Prepared and submitted an affidavit to the Court that falsely asserted that the 2005 will was his client’s last will to the best of Johnny’s knowledge deliberately misled the court
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Failed to act honorably

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary $7,000.00 fine and assessed investigative costs of $5,000.00.

As we speak (ca. August 2022), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law with Restall & Restall LLP at 295 Broadway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
