Attorney Julia Sitton of Morganton, NC; convicted felon

The state of North Carolina presented Julia Leigh Sitton with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Julia guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Convicted of obstruction of justice
• Sentenced to 12 months’ probation and fined $5,000
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Misconduct involved selfish motive
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Julia gifting her with a complimentary 2-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2022) Julia practices her so-called brand of law at 500 Lenoir Road in Morganton, North Carolina.
