Former Judge Barry Zimmerman of Norcross, GA; ethical troll 

The state of Georgia presented Barry Zimmerman with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from University of Georgia School of Law.

The Judicial Qualifications Commission found Barry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Acted as an attorney in his court while sitting as a judge in the same court
• Represented a client in another case even though that client appeared before him as a judge
• Improperly involved in several cases in his court in his capacity as an attorney
• Engaged in prohibited practice of law while serving as a judge
• Failed to respect and comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
• Failed to recuse himself from numerous cases when recusal was mandatory

Because Barry announced that he will retire for some undisclosed personal reasons on July 1, 2021, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Qualifications Commission announced they weren’t going to take any action against Barry.

It also appears that the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting the Georgia State Bar aren’t going to take any action against Barry’s law license due to his misconduct despite the fact they are in a position to so act.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Barry makes no mention of his misconduct as set forth above on his self-serving website at www.zimmermanatlantalawcom. Apparently, he decided to conceal this information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2022), Barry will resume his so-called practice of law with Zimmerman & Associates at 6376 Spalding Drive in Norcross, Georgia.
