Judge James Jameson of Benton, KY; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

The state of Kentucky presented James T. Jameson with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from Northern Kentucky University School of Law.

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was an infamous Justice of the Peace and saloon owner in Texas who called himself the "The Law West of the Pecos." Roy was also affectionately referred to as the Hanging Judge.

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Jimmy’s creation of the Community Corrections Board constituted an improper use of judicial resources
  • Acted as the alter ego for the 42nd Judicial Circuit Community Corrections Board (CCB) in the creation and development of an ankle monitoring
  • Failed to separate himself as Circuit Judge from his duties at CCB, creating the appearance of impropriety to the public
  • Mismanaged his courtroom
  • Engaged in acts of retaliation
  • Deviated from acceptable standards of judicial conduct
  • During your tenure as Circuit Court Judge, used his influence and the prestige of judicial office to pressure attorneys, individuals, and groups to fund and support his political campaign
  • Went as far as telling donors that certain monetary contributions were not sufficient
  • Used his influence to have a specific ankle monitor provider selected and approved
  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Abused the prestige of his judicial office to advance his personal or economic interests or others, or allowed others to do so
  • Failed to perform all duties of judicial office fairly and impartially
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
  • Conveyed or permit others to convey the impression that any person or organization was able to influence him
  • Failed accord to every person who has a legal interest in a proceeding, or that person’s lawyer, the right to be heard according to law (aka, due process)
  • Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications
  • Improperly investigated facts regarding matters pending before him
  • Personally, pressured an attorney who appeared before his Court to file a bar complaint against another attorney, and asked that same attorney to draft a sworn statement on your behalf to rebut a complaint made against the judge
  • Retaliated against a Marshall County Sheriff's Department employee by seeking his termination or re-assignment after he reviewed Courthouse video footage of you because you believed, without any evidence, he leaked the video to media outlets
  • Directly requested that Marshall County Sheriff Eddie McGuire send deputies to find a vehicle you saw flying a flag with what you believed was an offensive political statement and to request the driver remove the sign
  • Suggested to the Sheriff McGuire that he should cite or bring criminal charges against the driver if they refused to remove
  • the flag

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Jimmy by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Jimmy dispenses his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a  42nd Judicial Circuit Judge in Benton, Kentucky.
