Judge William Rummer of Mayer, AZ; ethical gremlin

The state of Washington presented Steve Dixon with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from Howard University School of Law.

The Commission on Judicial Conduct found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Ordered a defendant guilty even though the defendant stated twice that he was going to hire an attorney
  • Failed to act in matter promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety or the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to uphold and apply the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to perform all judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Improperly coerced a party into settlement a pending matter
  • Conduct failed to promote public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to afford a party appearing before him right to be heard (aka, due process)

Apparently, Billy holds the firm belief that “due process” is how the grass becomes moist in the am.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2022), Billy continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Yavapai County Justice of the Peace in Mayer, Arizona.
