Barrister Gary Stern of Manitoba, CAN; slacker, repeat offender

 

The Law Society of Manitoba presentedGary Samuel Stern with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Law.

 

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Manitoba found Gary guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

 

Gary’s 1st bite at the Barrister Misfit Apple Tree

  • Five charges of professional misconduct
  • Failed to provide quality services in two client matters

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $2,400.00.

 

Gary’s 2nd bite at the Barrister Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • In submitting final order involving custody and child support, Gary made errors with respect to the order and included provisions for which he had no specific instructions from his client
  • Failed to provide efficient services to his clients
  • Engaged in professional misconduct 
  • Failed to respond to repeated client calls

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary $3,000 fine and assessed investigative costs of $1,500.00.

 

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Gary practices his so-called brand of law at 260 St. Mary Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
