Attorney Orvel Currie of Calgary, CAN; slacker, scamming loser

The Law Society of Manitoba presentedOrvel Larry Currie with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Manitoba found Orvel guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in creating false documents
• Engaged in professional misconduct 
• Engaged in secret billing practices
• Hid from his partners billings involving 55 matters
• Misled court monitor when questions about billing practices
• Failed to treat the Court with candor, fairness, courtesy, and respect

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Orvel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $12,500.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Orvel and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.ddwestllp.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Orvel practices his so-called brand of law with DD West LLP at 520 5^th Avenue in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
