Attorney Russell Barnett III of Portland, OR; cheating loser

The State of Oregon presented Russell S Barnett III with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Russ guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Collected an excessive fee (cheater)
  • Neglect of a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to maintain client funds in a trust account
  • Failed to account for client funds
  • Failed to promptly pay or deliver client’s funds as requested by the client
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Victim of misconduct was vulnerable
  • Exhibited indifference to making restitution to his client (victim)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Russ fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.barnettegaldefense.com. Apparently, Chris decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Russ practices his so-called brand of law with Russell S Barnett III PC at 917 SW Oak Street in Portland, Oregon.
